Caddie's Summary:  The Course at Aberdeen is a pristine and challenging track that may be considered the best of Northern Indiana. Heavy rough jets in and out of the fairways and comes into play on almost every hole - forcing the golfer to think of placement and precision rather than distance. Aberdeen is a beautifully scenic course and wild flowers and color are all over the course and litter some of the long walks (or drives) between tees. The first couple of greens are surrounded by trees and are most often much softer and slower than the rest. Local knowledge of the course comes in handy when considering clubs to hit off tees or into greens, as shorter placement on tees is usually preferable to going through and into hazard roughs. Most drives are very tight and misses are most often heavily penalized - adding to the strategy of the course. Aberdeen has some of the best fairway sculpting in Indiana and it gives the course a very championship feel. The clubhouse and carts are new and technology-intensive with GPS systems. Overall, the architecture is amazing and makes use of the mature trees and ponds (full of cattails) all throughout the course.
