And if you also choose to buy the photography, we provide all of the digital images at a very reasonable price. For the Golfer
In the past, internet usage for the golf industry has been limited to numerous sites offering basic information on golf courses of all varieties. The associated problem with this is that golfers must search over 10-15 different sites to retrieve information and there is little or no differentiation between elite golf courses and the “average” or below average course. Occasionally, a site may have one or two photos of a course, but once the golfer arrives, he or she realizes that the photos are of the only scenic hole on the course, and is obviously disappointed.

We have changed the representation of golf courses on the internet. Elite Golf Courses represents only elite golf courses (top 20-25 in each state) and offers over 75 professional photographs of each course online. We use over 5megabytes of storage for each course, where any other multi-course web site may use 1/75  of that space. We are dedicated to a focus on the natural beauty and strategy of the finest game on earth.

a. 3 large photos of the most scenic locations on the golf course
b. course location and address, phone number
c. architect, head pro and superintendent names
d. course ratings/slope
e. a full paragraph summary to the course
f. links to your website
g. up to 50 professional photos of the golf course and resort

Elite Golf Courses is the only internet location that provides a network of top-rated courses and a FULL visual representation of each. The overnight success has derived from us enabling golfers to virtually tour these facilities. This is a comfort to the golfers, as so often a website will offer only one or two photos of a course's signature hole and once the golfer arrives, conditions and the rest of the golf course are a complete let-down.

Since we only represent the ELITE courses, travelers, prospective members and guest are using our site for planning their vacations and business trips. They know that any golf course represented by us is a top ranked course and they can use this single web site to view all available courses in that state.

Rates and Fees

We try to make this a “no-brainer” for the courses. Once a course enlists Elite Golf Courses (Tid Griffin, Principal Photographer), our fees are a one-time charge and will serve to include that courses inclusion on the web site forever. Many other sites which only include text on various courses are recurring, yet charge similar fees with little or no course variations (we can’t comprehend this...). EliteGolfCourses’s primary objective is to create THE DATABASE for all elite golf courses. To do so, we do understand that the initial fees must be at a breakeven point for doing business, and that solid performance and professional photography will create the profit center once our services are performed. We believe in truly servicing the golfer with course information, visual representation and strategic course data for playing the course. We do not allow advertising banners and are committed to keeping the site clean and dignified, as a reflection to primary patrons (golfers and the courses alike).

The current price to fully photograph a course and to establish everything on the site (two to three days of labor) is $345 per course. This covers our travel and technology costs. Due to the high demand of photography from courses, we place a preference on golf courses that are looking to own the rights to Tid Griffin's work. Once he has completed the course’s photography, the client can review the results and choose to own the publishing rights to the photographs. We allow all clients to view the work prior to committing to the purchase. Most golf courses have chosen to use our photography for publication in GolfWeek, Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Links Magazine, etc... and also for score cards, publicity campaigns, their independent web sites, etc. Our profits reside in the purchase of the rights to the photographs by the courses, and ownership of the rights is an additional $1,850.
