Caddie's Summary: When it comes to South Carolina golf courses and South Carlina resorts, Barefoot resides at the top of the list. Four courses by renowned designers (Love, Norman, Fazio and Dye) are all among the best public golf courses in the state. The Norman Course is a unique layout designed for direct golfers. Norman has placed numerous bunkers throughout the golf course, all with low lips and relatively flat lies. Tee shots and approach shots have the bunkers in most landing areas and surrounding the greens, yet with some skill, golfers can play out on nearly every lie without having to lay up. The course's plaid fairways provide room for all handicappers but knowing the golf course can come in handy with its slants and angled landing areas.
