Caddie's Summary:  The score card reads "time spent here is well rewarded". A must-play course, we believe that over half of the Caribbean's white sand was imported to Purgatory Golf Club. The course has over 125 bunkers. Players will find that careful shot planning to tight fairways and adventurous greens characterize the strategy of the course. Natural beauty abounds with fescue and water prevalent throughout the course. James Brown (Superintendent) keeps the greens immaculate and normal play is hard and fast. The tips (Purgatory) offer the longest course in Indiana (and the longest non-mountain par 72 in the world) at 7754 yards. The shorter tee boxes provide amazing challenge and getting lost in the abundant white sand bunkers occurs often. In natural beauty, strategy, and condition, this is definitely one of the finest courses around.
