Caddie's Summary:  The 27 Holes at Shaker Run have excellent contrast and offer exemplary play on any choice of nines. Less played, but an even better architecture is the newer Meadows. A Dr. Michael Hurdzan architecture, the course plays and feels like a links course with a few holes reaching back into mature forested areas. The greens on the Meadows are large and the bunkers have more of a raised shaping that is visually appealing and a challenge to play. Both the Lakeside and Woodlands are excellent tracks as well, with smaller greens (average about 27yd in depth) and an abundance of trees as obstacles to any missed fairways. The Gold tees play at about 7,000yd on any combination of nines and the course is in excellent condition. Rare in public course play, the holes are well scattered and the natural elements are all excellent with deer, squirrels and groundhogs plentiful. The rolling terrain and distance add a degree of difficulty to the course, and several of the holes are very tight. Water is prevalent and golfers of all handicaps can find a beautiful and tough golf course at Shaker Run.
