Caddie's Summary:. The Authur Hills design is a scenic tour through rolling terrain and flowing rivers. The course offers a much different feel than many of the other elite Tennessee courses and has a mature landscape with a modern design. Challenges reside in tight fairways with plenty of water, heavy rough, trees and deep bunkers. The course plays a bit longer than the 7001yd (from tips) as fairway bends make placement key. The greens range from extremely shallow landing areas to large and undulating and are most often very well protected by water, bunkers or both. Staff at River Islands has a wealth of experience and the Pro Shop is well stocked. River Islands is a beauty, full of natural flavor and challenging golf. It is and will remain the public place to play in Knoxville. |
