Private: Members and Guests Only Opened in July, 1998 and now ranked #1 - Indiana, #49 Nationally as by Golf Digest. Will host 2006 USGA Senior Amateur.
Caddie's Summary:. One of the most
challenging and beautiful courses in the US. Architected into the
once-strip mines of the Peabody Coal Company, Victoria National has
the appearance of a mature course with the feel of something
completely new and unconventional. The average golfer will find
little solace other than the landscape and natural surroundings that
abound, as the course is a true championship venue. Yet, if you're
looking for a challenge, you can find no better than Victoria National Golf Course. The design
requires thought and precision on every stroke with possible trouble
for slight misses. The course is in pristine shape and considering
the other private courses in the tri-state (or elsewhere), the
membership fees are very reasonable considering the raw beauty,
perfected condition, design and amenities. These are some must-see
photos (view the caddie tips link) for any avid golfer that enjoys
touring a prestigious track. |
