Caddie's Summary: Known in the Central/Western
Florida region as one of the most difficult courses around. The design of Jim Fazio (Tom
Fazio's brother) reflects a great deal of the Fazio tradition with excellent us of
bunkers and sloping greens. Most notable, the fairways are tightly lined with trees and
the large bunkers are most often in play for longer hitters. If you hit your driver well
at El Diablo, you can score well, otherwise, expect trouble. For the price, El Diablo is
simply unbeatable. Play is sometimes a bit busy, but rarely crowded. It is one of the
best tracks around for challenging play within a public setting. |
