Caddie's Summary:. A beautiful and diverse 27 holes of golf. The drive alone to Graysburg offers brilliant scenery and a rural tranquility that gently eases in prior to arrival. The course is set amidst rolling hills and the the thrill of elegance are well traded for a serene and tranquil golf landscape. Bluegrass fairways and rough have numerous bends and inclines and the course plays a bit longer than the yardage. The greens have some large undulations and are well protected with white sand bunkers. Most notable on the course is the variance between the two Rees Jones nines and the most recent Dave Stewart nine. The most recent is a treat and is placed well into the landscape. Lots of earth was moved to create the ridges and mounds and some of the elevated views are dramatic. There's plenty of golf at Graysburg, and its distance from Knoxville (35min) helps keep traffic flowing nicely. If in the area, this is a great escape. |
