Summary: Difficult to tell who had more influence on the West Bay Club, architect Pete Dye or P.B. Dye. Raised bunkers line the course giving it a surreal feel, yet it is laid out through natural landscapes and mature pine trees. Water comes into play on at least eight holes and the large greens have undulations breaking them up nicely. Wildlife from alligators, pelicans, gopher tortoises and a myriad of birds call the golf course home and are a joy to see on practically every round. Few houses line the golf course and the West Bay Club development is truly elegant and upscale. Enjoy the photo tour below of this gem, as both great architects and natural location have come together to create the West Bay Club. |
